Independent distributor’s Secret

Usually buyers have three ways to purchase connectors, such as TE, MOLEX, JST, WAGO, PANDUIT, PHOENIX: Manufacture, Authorized distributor (AD), Independent Distributors(ID).

Some buyers only can accept Authorized distributors or MFG, they thought independent distributors do have the lower price, but still is not professional and have bad service,they may get the fake parts.

With 10 years’ experience in HTG an independent distributor of connectors, I would like to share some truth about independent distributor. Hope I could help you someway.

As you may know that Most of big manufacture, OEM factory, for example Flextronics, Kodak, Foxconn, those factory, supported by MFG directly but still, they have 30% purchasing from independent distributors.

I think we have at least four reasons :

Lessen work burden of buyers

Different brand parts, connectors, pcbs, cables, one independent distributors could work them out, buyers do not need to send thousands emails, make hundreds phone calls to different suppliers and prepare tons of paper work for orders.

Flexible sources

If you ordered to any authorized distributor, you may have this reply when you ask for stocks: Sorry we do not have this part in stocks.

But same situation if you send inquiry to Independent distributor, even they do not have any stocks in hand, they will locate all over the world, MFG, authorized distributors, OEM factory even their own customers, ID definitely work harder for your demand, and with their flexible sources, you have more chance to meet your engineering’s request.

Lower prices

Most ID, they have channels or contract with MFG or AD for special offer

Actually for common connectors, for example MOLEX, JST, ID’s price is much lower than AD, not all the parts, but you can try and will see ID’s amazing price.

We all know that different AD, countries, country of origin, different clients every different quantity, one connector’s price will be different.

But most of buyer, is very very busy and work under high pressure, really do not have too much time to compare with all sources, but one ID could do this for you.

Better services
